We begun the morning assignment with Kun Huang with housekeeping. We talk about and discussed lesson planning backward design. Writing performance objectives and then we watched a short video on The 21st Century Education and discussed steps of a lesson plan. We play a game on coming up with what is Backward Design. Each student had the opportunity to add at least 3 words to the definition of what they thought backward is. We discussed a website call Wordle/ Word Cloud.net, and Google Docs. After lunch we had an presentation with Linda Clifton and Connie Gusmus from the Department of Transportation. We learned about the TRAC and RIDES programs.We built 3D models of bridges to measure the weight it will hold.I definitely can incorporate into my science lessons. we discussed a lot of information that we could take back and use inside our classrooms.We ended the session making online Portfolios.
